Kyle Rittenhouse has filed a lawsuit against the city of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and several police officers, alleging that they violated his constitutional rights during the Kenosha riots in 2020.

The lawsuit alleges that the city of Kenosha and the police officers failed to protect Rittenhouse from the rioters, even though they knew that he was in danger. The lawsuit also alleges that the police officers conspired with the rioters to harm Rittenhouse.

Rittenhouse was acquitted of all criminal charges in November 2021 in connection with the shootings of three people during the Kenosha riots. However, he has since been sued by the estates of two of the men he killed, and by a third man who was shot and injured.

In his lawsuit against the city of Kenosha and the police officers, Rittenhouse is seeking compensatory and punitive damages. He is also seeking a declaration from the court that his constitutional rights were violated.

The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin on September 21, 2022.
