There are two ongoing lawsuits against Diamond Braces:

  • Aliyeva v. Diamond Braces et al is a class-action lawsuit filed in the Southern District of New York in March 2022. The lawsuit alleges that Diamond Braces engaged in deceptive marketing practices, including misrepresenting the cost of braces, the qualifications of its dentists, and the results of its orthodontic treatment. The lawsuit also alleges that Diamond Braces engaged in fraudulent billing practices, including submitting false claims to Medicaid and private insurance companies.
  • New York State v. Diamond Braces is a civil lawsuit filed by the New York State Attorney General in January 2019. The lawsuit alleges that Diamond Braces allowed uncertified employees to perform orthodontic procedures and then improperly billed Medicaid for payment for such procedures.

Both of these lawsuits are still ongoing, and no trial dates have been set.

In addition to these two lawsuits, Diamond Braces has been the subject of numerous complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau and other consumer protection agencies. These complaints allege a variety of problems, including poor customer service, unqualified dentists, and unsatisfactory orthodontic results.

It is important to note that Diamond Braces has denied all of the allegations against it. The company has stated that it is committed to providing high-quality orthodontic care to its patients and that it is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigations.

If you are considering getting braces from Diamond Braces, it is important to do your research and weigh the risks and benefits carefully. You should also be aware of the ongoing lawsuits and complaints against the company.
